I heard British artist Damien Hirst recently on BBC Radio 4′ s Desert Island Discs (listen here). I truly enjoyed the program and felt it helped me begin to understand the artist’s work. Emboldened by a new and vague sense of contemporary art appreciation, I decided to visit the Modern Art collection at the Pompidou Center in Paris last week. The Cackler came with me.
We had a good time, but it is fair to say we were largely bewildered. There are a number of photos below. Three of them are of recent acquisitions and part of the museum’s collection. and the others are my own compositions, created when in the gallery. I am available to talk about them on Desert Island Discs.
Charles Saatchi, you know where to find me.
